If the FLIBS is the showcase where people look, the Miami Yacht Show (MYS) is the market where people buy: a showcase reserved for yachts and superyachts, smaller than the size of the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, but equally precious. This year, from February 14 to 18, the XXXI Miami Yacht Show, sponsored by Porsche, inaugurated the space in the One Herald Plaza, adjacent to the Art Wynwood exhibition tent, with the Downtown skyline in the background. Over 200 brands that have animated 6000 square meters (67 thousand square foot) with over 500 yachts and superyachts on display, as well as accessories, objects, and the marine art of Guy Harvey.
Officially opened in the new location with the ribbon cutting by the mayor of the city and county of Miami-Dade, Francis X. Suarez, the MIBS was inaugurated on Valentine’s Day with the exclusive event A Yacht of Love.
Ferretti Group, Riva, Pershing, Baglietto, Azimut, Viking and Absolute, with the American premiere of Absolute 62 Fly, the most recent creation of the shipyard. The best that the nautical scene can offer in terms of design and line that close the perfect picture in the relationship with speed. Ferretti Yacht 450, 670, 850 and 920 are among the new proposals; the Pershing 5X, 70, 82 and 8X and for the more sober and sophisticated at the same time, the iconic Riva with Rivamare, the 56’Rivale, the 66 ‘Ribelle and the 76’Perseo. Among the super yachts, the 100 feet Amore Mio and the 94 ‘Custom Line Lady Breanna, the 92’ three-floor Hatteras Convertible Seaquest, the Ferretti Yachts Paola IV at 87’ and the Riva Vixen of 56 ‘.
But if the nautical environment can offer so much, you can also follow preferential itineraries with the new Porsche Mission E 911, presented here with its prototype and coming out in 2020.
The boat show does not only mean yachts and superyachts because, the training and attention to the marine environment and not, count equally and in the same way are cured thanks to specific seminars held by industry experts in the Costa Conservation Village.
