For the first time since 2015, the Spectrum and Red Dot Miami return to Wynwood, in the artistic district par excellence. On August 10, Redwood Media Group, national leader for art exhibitions and production of events, media and marketing for the fine arts community, has signed a partnership with Mana Wynwood, “one of the city’s most avant-garde organizations in real estate development for creative arts “says Eric Smith, president of Redwood Media Group -RMG – which owns and manages five of the most important art exhibitions in the world: Artexpo New York, Spectrum Miami, Art San Diego, Art Santa Fe and Red Dot Miami.
From December 5th to 9th during the unmissable Miami Art Week the space of the Mana Wynwood will be designed to welcome under one roof two of the longest-lived artistic events in Miami, the Spectrum and the Red Dot Miami offering an experience of the highest level both for exhibitors and art lovers with an area of over 100,000 square feet (about 9,000 square meters) of exhibition space. The new location will also allow you to take advantage of hundreds of adjacent parking lots, with restaurants, bars and the most fashionable boutiques in the neighborhood.
Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami collectively present some of the most popular galleries with national and international artists.
Now in its 13th edition, Red Dot Miami boasts over 75 galleries representing more than 500 contemporary artists from markets all over the world. The curating theme of the 2018 exhibition will be ILLUMINATE with works capable of arousing amazement and wonder capable of revealing new trends with the imagination of artists with boundless creativity. In addition to the exhibition, are scheduled: Spotlight, focused on several avant-garde galleries chosen by the selection committee of the Redwood Media Group; Art Labs, a series of exceptional projects by important galleries, art institutions and art collectives within the show and Art Talks, an in-depth look at the artistic experience through round tables, conversations and provocative artistic discourses with leading artists , curators, and professionals in the sector.
Spectrum, now in its eighth edition and with its 160 galleries will instead have as its curatorial program 2018 the theme ALLURE: Atmospheric extracts, provocative photographs and seductive sculptures. Spectrum Miami’s programming will include Art Labs, Art Talks and the Spotlight program, which offers collectors a focused look at the various exhibitors, while the LaunchPad Artist Program will showcase an emerging, unrepresented artist, unanimously selected by artistic institutions. Spectrum Miami will also present FOTO SOLO, an autonomous exhibition presented for the first time at the Art Expo in New York in 2016, which hosts up to 10 artists from different continents and who have been chosen for their exemplary way of making photography.
